My partner & I and our two cats are seeking a housing opportunity in the Catskill/Hudson Valley area beginning September 1st.

^ One year lease with option to renew
^ Unfurnished
^ 2 bedroom minimum preferred
^ cats allowed
^ preferably a quiet place in the woods, though an apartment in town is okay too provided it is not on a super busy road
^ price range: 1800-2200

About This Lister

We are both in our mid 30’s, originally from Buffalo & Massachusetts, and live in Saugerties currently. We are quiet, respectful, hardworking and tidy individuals with excellent credit and full-time jobs. Our current lease is up and does not have the option to renew as it is someone’s full-time residential home. We can happily provide them as references, or any previous landlords.

One of us is a web developer, the other works full-time in Windham and has a side herbalism business. Our interests include hiking, cooking, gardening, traveling, foraging, playing music, etc.

We are aware that housing prices have skyrocketed in the area and, for the right situation, are willing to potentially work with you on how we can work out a lower price if necessary. We have experience farming, gardening, cleaning, cooking, and can do basic maintenance work. We are trying to save for a wedding and to buy our own home someday and therefore need to keep it within this budget range.

We have been together for 7 years and have experience living in all types of situations together: van, apartment, home, janky cabin, nice cabin etc. We’ve travelled together, lived on the west coast for 6 years, and have been back east for a year now. We have been very fortunate to find living situations that meet our financial needs and are hoping we can continue to do so.

Area: We are open and flexible, but prefer the west side of the river — a place where the commute to Windham is no more than 45 minutes. Some areas we love: West Saugerties, Woodstock, Catskill, Palenville, etc.
