Hello! I am looking to rent out a bedroom in a 2bed/1bath corner apartment with a 40ft private terrace. It is furnished with just a double bed, hard wood floors, window AC unit, good closet space, and a lot of sunlight (it also comes with custom black out curtains :).

I have 2 lovely tuxedo sibling cats who are funny but well behaved. They are super sweet and affectionate. I feel unworthy of having such nice cats. You can make your room a non-cat zone if you like, as my previous roommate did.

Shared space: open concept kitchen has a chef’s stove, ample marble cooking surface, and has mostly everything you might need to cook a delicious meal. It also has a dishwasher.
The bathroom has a big soaking tub and a beautiful skylight. The living room is equipped with big TV, comfy couch, Apple TV, and several streaming services. 40ft private terrace has an outdoor sectional, table to dine on, and pretty lights.

About me: I am a woman in her mid 30’s who is a freelance fashion translator. I travel a lot for work, so the perk is that you will have the whole apt to yourself almost every month anywhere from a week to 3 weeks. Sometimes I have to leave for longer. When I am back in the city I work from home in my home office. So I guess I’m either really home or not at all.

About you: you are stoked to live and hang with the cats without having to pay for them. You are happy with the trade off of feeding my cats once a day and cleaning litter every other day to have the whole apt to yourself. You are clean, are a good communicator, and have a stable life/job, preferably a 9 to 5 at the office or just a few days remote. I am open to all gender for the right fit. The bedroom is available indefinitely for the right person :)

About the neighborhood: I’ve been here for almost 6 years and I love it. My landlord is a super sweet older queens man and he is very responsive to any issues in the apt. We only have one other lovely neighbor in the whole building. A block away from Decades pizza, topos book store, grocery stores and laundromat. 6 min walking to cassette (formerly sundown bar), foret (amazing natural wine store), pizzeria panina, Norma’s, and a whole lot more like rolo’s, hell bender, bakeri, variety, etc etc.

The apt is second floor walk up. Rent is $1200 plus utilities (usually not more than $60, maybe a little more in the summer) and will need first month plus $1200 security deposit to move in. Sorry, no additional pets or couples. Preference is a good human over the age of 30.

I’m clean and make sure common places are kept at a certain level or cleanliness. I’m japanese so there is a no shoe policy in the house. Other than that, I am open to negotiations about sharing household responsibilities.
