It is the second floor of a two-story walk-up, about .3 miles from the 46th Street M/R station. You would be taking over the smaller of the two bedrooms (~10ftx16ft plus a large closet, with many large closets in our shared space), with shared bathroom, kitchen, and living spaces. We also have a small rooftop patio that can fit ~4/5 people comfortably. The shared spaces have air conditioning, but you would have to provide a unit for your room (I am willing to sell mine!). We do not have laundry in-unit but there are laundromats at both ends of the block.

The people living downstairs have a dog and a small infant, but I have allergies to animals and so we would not be able to have any animals (except for fish, reptiles, things that do not produce dander).

I'm Sam (he/him) a 30-year-old queer teacher in Astoria looking for a roommate as my roommate (my twin) is moving into Manhattan in May.

Likes: Theater of literally any form, punk and indie music shows (I try to see at least one show a week somewhere in the Williamsburg or Greenpoint areas).

I am queer and would love for another queer person, or someone with strong connections to queer communities.

I have begun developing my relationships with the community (Astoria Food Pantry, Zohran Mamdani for Mayor, etc.) and would love someone connected to those groups as well. I am Jewish and have been involved in the Free Palestine movement and would like someone who is at least sympathetic to these challenges.
