Hello! We’re looking for a roommate for a room in our 3 bed 1 bath sanctuary in Park Slope.
Rent is $1,400 for the room ($4,200 total for the unit) and the lease is month-to-month, but please note that we are prioritizing folks who are interested in a long-term rental (1+ years). Utilities including wifi average $100-200 per person per month depending on usage. The apartment has a dishwasher, central air, and in-unit laundry. Top floor of a 3-story townhouse walkup with a daycare on the first floor with an outdoor backyard play area that the room overlooks. The available room has fantastic south-facing sun exposure. Approximately 10x11.5 ft and has a walk-in closet.
Wonderful location in Park Slope, a 7-minute walk from the Union St R and a 9-minute walk to 2345BDNQR at Atlantic Av-Barclays Center. 15- minute walk from the Fulton G and 17-minute walk to the Lafayette C. B103 and B63 buses also very nearby.
We have a good relationship with the landlord who’s very responsive.
The apartment is completely furnished in the common areas and we’re a fairly communal household, respectful of communal expenses (cleaning supplies, paper products, spices) and supplementing/replacing when things get low. Cleanliness and tidiness is important with regular cleanings and as-needed in common areas.
We love the homey, peaceful environment we’ve built and enjoy takeout/movie or reality TV nights together. Clear, kind, open communication and boundary-setting as needed is key. Perfect for a calm 30-something who considers home their space to relax and decompress. We’re looking for a long-term addition to our lovely home. Sorry, no other pets please.
Accessibility: one step up through the front door, two flights of stairs to the third floor.

I spend a lot of time outside with friends and family, at the movies, running/biking/at the gym, and some evenings at my partner’s place. Been here since May 2021. I like cooking a couple times per week. I have an 11-year-old cat named Bagel who mostly stays in my room and is quiet apart from at mealtimes. The available room shares a wall with me.
