Bright 2BR in Fort Greene – Lease Takeover Starting April 1, 2025 ($1,770.50/Month)

Looking for someone to take over my roommate’s half of a 2-bedroom apartment in Fort Greene, Brooklyn! This is a lease takeover from April 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025, with the option to renew for a new lease starting November 1.

About the Apartment:
Rent: $1,770.50/month + security deposit (no broker or additional fees).
Utilities: Standard shared utilities.
Top-floor unit: Located on the 5th floor of a walk-up brownstone across from a school.
Renovated in 2020: Modern and updated interiors.
Abundant natural light: Thanks to tall ceilings and large windows.
Spacious common area: Includes a kitchen with a dishwasher, island, and plenty of cabinet space. There's a built-in bench and shelves around the dining table.
Room details: The room will be unfurnished and includes a small closet. There’s additional storage space in the shared coat closet by the front door, the hallway closet, and bathroom shelves.
No laundry in the building: There’s a laundromat nearby, or you can arrange for drop-off or pickup services.
What Makes This Space Special:
I have lots of plants that make the apartment feel fresh and cozy, and I love to organize and re-organize decor and art (there’s quite a bit of it!). While I don’t bring the party home, I do want this space to feel like a welcoming and comfortable place where friends can pop by and feel a sense of community. That said, I also value and respect each other's need for quiet time.

Location Highlights:
This apartment is in a prime location in Fort Greene, my absolute favorite neighborhood!

Fort Greene Park: Just a couple of blocks away.
Transportation: The C train is the closest subway stop, and Atlantic Terminal/Downtown Brooklyn is nearby for access to multiple train lines (G, B, D, N,Q, R, W, A, C, B38 ). The B38 bus also stops at the end of our block.
Grocery stores: Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods are about a 20-minute walk.
Amazing restaurants nearby: Some favorites include Sailor (right on the corner), Bittersweet, Peck-ish, Romans, Evelina, Miss Ada, and Walters.

About You:
I’m looking for a roommate who is tidy, respectful, and preferably does not work from home. This is a small space, so it’s only open to a single person (no couples). Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

No need to bring major furniture, as I’ll be furnishing the common areas. If you’re someone who enjoys a bright, comfortable apartment in a vibrant neighborhood and values a balance of community and quiet time, this might be a great fit!
