Hi, small landlord is looking for 1 more female tenant to share a spacious, sunny, renovated 3 BR / 2 full bath apartment in central Harlem. The apartment is furnished and the room itself is unfurnished. It has almost new stainless steel kitchen appliances. The room rents for $1290, a private room with a bathroom shared with one female. The current lease runs through August 31, 2025 so that is the initial term we are looking to fill.
It is actually a lot of space for the money. The room is rented unfurnished and the photos are renderings of how furniture would layout in this specific apartment. This is a bright, south-facing room with a double window looking over the building garden.
This is a non-smoking building but there is outdoor garden space where you could smoke outside.
Exposed brick wall in living room, newly refinished hardwood floors, granite countertop, ceramic tile to the ceiling with 2 full baths in the apartment which makes it a good share. The bedrooms are large, big enough to accommodate enough for a queen-sized bed and other furniture besides. Quiet, clean, well-maintained building with laundry in the basement and a live-in super who stays on top of things. High security lock system - get from the street into your apartment with 1 key. Pictured is a furnished and planted garden for tenant use with outdoor furniture and a lounger - very nice during the summer.
Number 2,3 train on 135th is 5 min away and number 4,5,6 on 125th street is 10 min away walking which makes it very convenient to get quickly to the east or the west side. Supermarkets are nearby, Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are a few blocks away so you can pick something up on your way back from the subway.
The Two Female Tenants:
One tenant is in her early 30s. She has her doctoral degree and a fellowship at a well known local university where she studies vision and language. She does work outside of the house. The work week is busy and she wants to be in quiet and comfortable surroundings when she gets home. She's into painting, reading and volunteering. Keeping common spaces clean is a huge priority. She's looking to live with two mature, responsible people who can communicate directly and maintain a friendly and well-kept apartment. She has lived in the apartment 2-1/2 years.
The second tenant is also early 30s. She is an attorney working in the public sector. She occasionally works from home. As a neighbor and a tenant, she always tries to practice respect and consideration. She often doesn’t have time to cook with her work schedule and tends to order in or go out for a meal with friends. She doesn’t generally entertain friends at home and prefers quieter activities when in my personal space. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting the local museums, staying active by walking / jogging in the local neighborhood or at the gym, and going to the beach with friends in the warmer months. She has lived in the apartment for 2 years.
If that sounds like a fit, please email for appointment.
I'm the owner posting on behalf of my tenants who want to share but may not have a roommate. We have found that many tenants don't want to spend money on listings or organize the whole thing, so we facilitate. The building super will be showing the space.
