I'm looking for a tranquil apartment to sublet in Marseille— I'm open to either a room or a private flat. (If it's shared, I'd prefer a female host.)

I'll be working remote part time, and will need a desk.

I'm drawn to creative spaces, and ideally, the apartment would have a balcony/view, or a terrace.

It's my first time visiting, and I'm considering the 2nd, 6th and 7th Arrondissements, but open to others as well — any areas that are deemed safe for solo female travelers.

*My dates are somewhat flexible, and I'm looking to spend no more than $800 total.

I'm a filmmaker and professor based in Brooklyn.

I'll be attending Cannes for a few days, and have been wanting to explore Marseille for awhile, so I'm adding some time onto my trip. I'd love to use the space as a home base— it'd be great to leave my things while I travel to the festival for a couple nights (mar 19-22)

I'll be working remotely (editing a TV series) so a nice sized desk, and a monitor would be a huge plus.

I'm looking forward to being by nature– the sea, and national parks– and exploring the history and culinary scene.
