My lease in Crown Heights will be up at the end of March and my roommate and I won't be renewing so I'm seeking my own new situation with great people for 4/1. I'm a nanny working off the books so would rather not consider jumping on a lease but can provide basic documentation and references, credit high 700's and, because of my job, I undergo routine background checks. I have the next several months booked with full-time positions mainly in midtown Manhattan through October 2025.
I've lived in many different neighborhoods in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens. Not too picky about the neighborhood--prefer quieter and don't need lots of amenities.
My job as a freelance nanny requires me to travel to many locations around the city so would like to be in close proximity to the subway.
Ideally, would love a room in a long-term situation with ample space, light, closet, room for at least a full size mattress and space to throw down a yoga mat. Furnished or unfurnished OK--I have a storage space and some basic pieces to make it work. Would prefer 2-3 bedroom, good bathroom, nice uncluttered kitchen with room enough to store food and other stuff. Either washer/dryer in-house or laundromat nearby. Prefer no pets but am pet-friendly.
Love the occasional drink (especially after a long day with toddlers!), very health conscious, omnivore, love to cook (nothing too extravagant), non-smoker, pretty quiet and love to fix/maintain things! Extremely neat, don't leave dishes in sink, good about garbage/recycling/composting and seeking like-minded roomies.
Keep pretty busy with work and life. Musician/singer (guitar), photographer, videographer, world traveler. Would love a roommate who is respectful, responsible, non-smoker, easygoing, great communicator with sense of humor!
I'm an older female (she/her), kind, mature, lively, fun and down to earth. Would love to find a new living situation with some great people suitable to my current needs while I shift from childcare to new, more fulfilling (diaper-free) endeavors aligned with my actual interests.
Love: Listening to music, the beach, exploring NYC, playing guitar, singing, writing, reading non-fiction, studying languages--Italian right now, streaming of course and connecting with friends/family around the world.
Don't need to be best friends with my roommates but do love to be personable and communicate well regarding all the little things that go on while sharing a space.
I look forward to hearing from you :)
