I've lived in this sunny, serene, gorgeous, and perfectly located gem of an apartment in Park Slope for 4 years, and recently moved to another unit in the building. I have over a year on this lease, however, so I'm leaving it fully furnished and hoping to find a subletter. The space is available immediately.
I am open to people who would like to stay for a minimum of 2 months, up to a year or more, or even folks who may want to possibly take over the lease when the time comes. Monthly rent covers all utilities (internet, electricity) as well as a TV and access to a few streaming platforms.
The apartment is in a massive extra wide townhouse in the north historic district of Park Slope, on one of the most beautiful streets. And the immediate neighborhood is a literal urban paradise; everything you could need is just a short walk away. Coffee, cafes, grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, wine shops, etc. And Prospect Park is mere steps away. It's also within walking distance to the Q, F, G, 2, 3, and R trains. And there is a Citi Bike dock at the end of the block.
Some details about the space:
•Both rooms are south facing and extremely sunny and bright. There's a huge bay window in the living room and two huge windows in the bedroom. (Both rooms have curtains/blinds.)
•Fully furnished. I've moved out of the space so it's empty of all my personal items. All dressers and closets will be empty, save for a few basics like hangers and some cleaning products.
•There is not currently a desk in the apartment, but if you work from home and would like one there is plenty of space in the bedroom, and I could provide one.
•Small kitchen with a new and decent sized undercounter fridge and separate under counter freezer. The apartment has dishes etc. and all the basics for cooking.
•Elevator
•Laundry in the basement (coin operated)
•There's a large walk-in closet off the living room with a new stationary bike (a home gym if you will, lol)
•Tons of storage! 2 closets in the bedroom plus the large walk-in closet, as well as a small utility closet near the bathroom. Plus 3 dressers.
•Frame TV mounted to the wall, hidden behind a tapestry
•Casper mattress
•Programmable wifi-capable window AC w/ remote (currently stored in the closet)
•Very cool, kind, friendly, helpful neighbors
I'm a Brooklyn-based architect and firm-owner who specializes in townhouse renovations. I've been the tenant of this space for 4 years and will be your contact person. I live in another apartment in the building. My pronouns are she/her.
Lease holder
•Makes over 40x the rent
•No smoking (cigarettes or other)
•No animals or pets
•Can provide references.
•Must be someone clean, neighborly, and respectful, who is also okay with the quirks and imperfections of living in a historic building, and the quirks of wonky vintage furniture.
•My landlord may need some additional details like a credit check, but he is pretty low key.
