One cozy bedroom with dedicated workspace (including 27’ monitor), plus large living room with two sofas, a well-stocked library of books, and a big wood dining table and a projector.

Kitchen equipped with small seating area (“Wohnküche”) and all the amenities (including dishwasher). Bathroom with bathtub, bidet, and washing machine (no dryer -- but you can hang clothes in a little landing above the apartment).

The apartment is located on the 4th floor (5th for Americans) with no elevator. Windows on both sides mean it's light flooded and gets good circulation (Germans love a good Lüftung)!

The building is lovely and the neighbors are all very friendly. There’s a lovely courtyard we all share. All utilities are included in the rent.

The apartment is located in the heart of Bergmannkiez on a beautiful and quiet street with loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. 15 minute walk to Tempelhofer Feld and Hasenheide park. Well connected by public transport (bus stop 2 minutes from front door; U6 and U7 10 minutes by foot), and there’s a farmer’s market on Saturdays at Chamissoplatz right nearby.

About This Lister

We’re a queer German-American-Polish couple, both researchers and educators, spending some time away from home to focus on writing projects.

As a tri-national academic couple, we often leave Berlin for weeks at a time to be with family, travel, or for professional opportunities. Over the years, we've had great success both subletting and swapping and are happy to be part of the Listings Project community.

We're always open to swaps, so please feel free to reach out if that's something that would interest you. For this time period we probably will need to sublet, not swap but it never hurts to ask ; )
