We are subletting a small simple room on the 4th floor of an artist old school walk up brownstone. You will share the entire house (3 floors and a roof garden, with actor/ director Tony and poet / professor Lee Ann and and Tilly from Denmark. It is available for the first three weeks of February for a discounted price.

This house has a very friendly cat named Zelda. (If you are allergic this would not be the place)

There is a shared bathroom with a shower and bathtub washer and dryer on the 4th floor and two additional toilets on the second floor. We share kitchen and dining room on the 3rd floor. On the second floor there is a theater/parlor where we sometimes have plays and poetry workshops/ events. If there is no events it can be a space to do some morning yoga or stretches.

The room for sublet is small, cozy and extremely quiet overlooking the back courtyard of 22nd st. There is a full size bed and a desk. Two bedrooms are next to each other, so we are very mindful of taking our phone calls, zoom meetings elsewhere in the house and music/computer time in our headphones.

There is high speed internet throughout the house and Maria our cleaning lady comes every Friday.

The brownstone is on 22nd street a tree line street btw 9 and 10 ave. The location is pretty spectacular with all the galleries and restaurants at your doorstep. 2 Citybike hubs either end of 22nd st and C E subway on 8 ave which also goes to jfk. The Hudson River, Chelsea peers, the Little Island and the high-line is one block away. You can walk to Greenwich village, meatpacking in 10-15 min.

This house is great, if you are busy, travel light and looking for a temporary room in a big house with lots of space, wonderful housemates and a spectacular location.

Everyone at the house are welcoming and busy in their creative endeavors. The place itself has a lot of family theatrical history and is a mix of charm and eccentric of old school New York.
