This furnished apartment is very large, well laid-out, and includes a dedicated office space. The unit is on the fifth floor of an elevator building only two blocks away from the mass transport hub at Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens.
The neighborhood features amazing restaurants and passionate community members who care deeply about the neighborhood and each other. It's an amazing place to live and easily accessible to midtown by the express trains and to Greenpoint by connecting at Court Sq. to the G train. The building is just a short walk to Paseo Park along 34th Avenue, and to the Sunday Farmers' Market on 78th street.
The apartment itself includes a brand-new dishwasher, lots of closet space, and a well-appointed kitchen. With a sunken living room and a queen-size pullout sofa, it's a great place to hang out with or host guests and also, if you're feeling shy, to nest. The apartment is spacious and cozy, and a great retreat from the bustling city outside.
Laundry in the building basement. The apartment comes with two AC units (one is one of those U-shaped Midea deals that work really well and are very quiet) which are currently in storage, but when you're ready for them, someone will come and install them in the apartment.
Rent includes heat and water but not electricity, gas, or internet.
Looking to sublet to someone quiet and respectful of their neighbors, who appreciates quirky things and will enjoy my artwork while I'm away.
Unfortunately, the co-op does not allow pets in sublet units.
I'm a graphic artist for TV with an interest in art, music, and humor. I own and have lived in this apartment since 2018 and I absolutely adore both my apartment and my neighborhood. Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, I need to move out of state for at least a year and I am looking for someone to occupy the space while I'm away.
I have moved some of my belongings into storage but I hope that what I've left out will help the right person make a comfortable life for themselves in the apartment while I'm away.
If you feel that there are any details that I'm leaving out, please don't hesitate to ask!
Owner
Per the co-op rules, each person on the lease will be required to submit to a credit check, which costs $75 per person. The co-op also charges a $500 Move-In fee, of which $450 is refundable upon move-out.
I will be available to show the apartment through the end of February.
First month's rent and security deposit required upfront.
