A 260 sq/ft space is available in a 1,330 sq/ft shared studio. (See photos 1, 2, 3, and 4.) It’s the area extending from the windows to the concrete column (20ft x 13ft), with great natural light from a southern exposure and expansive city views.
The space is fluid—while you’d have your designated area, there’s room to spread out into the shared space when needed. The building has three slop sinks down the hall, two freight elevators, and a loading dock. If you’re a ceramicist, you’d also have access to an L&L kiln.
You’d be sharing the space with three other artists—me (a potter), a sculptor, and a multimedia artist. It’s a quiet, focused space, but we’re friendly and open to collaboration.
The studio is 1.5 blocks from the F train (two stops from Manhattan) and close to the N, W, E, 7, R, and M trains.
