ABOUT THE LISTING
Large room available starting November 1 for 6 months or longer (4 month minimum) for $1600/month rent plus $100 utilities (gas, electric).
ABOUT THE PLACE
This is a really special place and a rare find - a sunny, spacious loft that was converted from a raw factory space by current leaseholder. It’s 3000 sq ft (larger than most houses), is fully-furnished and very comfortable but still retains its original industrial charm and authenticity. The unit is on the third floor of a four-floor industrial building with tall ceilings (11.5’) and concrete floors. It has 60 feet of traditional loft windows with southeastern exposure (great for plants!). There are two full bathrooms for five people, a large kitchen, and a full-sized washer and dryer in the unit.
Apartment features:
• Large, bright loft windows with beautiful natural light
• Exposed loft columns, tall ceilings, and concrete floors
• Clean common area, bathrooms, and kitchen
• Full-sized washer and dryer in unit
• Two full bathrooms
• Two full-sized refrigerators
• Cleaning service in common areas 2x/month
ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The best neighborhood in Bushwick - mostly quiet during the day but can get busy on weekends. We're on the same block as the Jefferson L stop (a one-minute walk), down the block from the Hana 24h natural foods supermarket, with lots of new restaurants and bars. We’re also a short walk to Maria Hernandez Park, great coffee shops and supermarkets, and several green spaces that are great for running or strolling. There is a friendly, neighborhood feel and most of the conveniences you’d ever want or need. It's lively on weekends but quiet and residential the rest of the time.
Apartment Location:
• 1 minute walk from Jefferson L train (on the corner of the same block)
• 12 minute walk (or 5 minute bus) to Myrtle-Wyckoff M train
• 2 minute walk to Dekalb (B38) bus
• 3 minute walk to Flushing Ave (B57) bus
• Across the street from a Citi Bike station
ABOUT THE ROOMMATES
We are four friendly, creative professionals with full-time jobs. The ambiance in the house is quiet, calm, friendly and zen (not the place for parties or social gatherings). For this reason, we are mostly looking for someone ideally with a more mature mindset. Please no WFH - several of us already do, so we are looking for a roommate who works full-time outside the apartment to keep a balance.
Housekeeper cleans the bathrooms, kitchen, and living room twice a month. The rest of the time we pick up after ourselves, help each other out (bring garbage down, packages up, etc), and keep things clean in common areas. Mutual respect (no cooking or loud noises early in the morning or late at night), positive energy, kitchen/bathroom cleanliness, and general helpfulness are expected. We try to do our dishes as soon as we've used them, but if someone has forgotten something, we'll do that, too. We share the cost of cleaning service/supplies, household essentials, and, on occasion, larger household purchases.
No judgment, but please no smoking or drugs inside the apartment. We love them both but cannot accommodate couples or additional pets. (We already have a young orange cat who likes to play a lot!)
We are four friendly, creative professionals who maintain an ambiance of clean, respectful calm looking for same.
