Hi! I’m looking to sublet my extra fully furnished bedroom for a minimum of 2 months (starting in Nov…flexible around start date), with the ability to extend in BedStuy. This South-facing apartment with its own private balcony access and bathroom is one of two rooms in the unit.
I’ve been in this building for 3 years now, and am ready to share the space as I am often traveling or gone for work— and it goes unused often.
This apartment is directly on a bus lane, and is 10-15 min walk to multiple train stations. Personally I scooter into Manhattan daily with no issue!
This building has washer+dryers in the basement, and an incredible rooftop. The building is situated right above a grocery store, making it super convenient to pick up groceries or any last minute ingredients you may need.
The fully-furnished space has storage space, hanging space, and a desk set up for your sublet. The bed is full-sized and is a 100% organic latex mattress with sheet sets. In addition, the kitchen has a food compressor, nespresso, toaster, and all the cooking essentials you could need.
I am open to even getting a second fridge or external shelving if needed for the kitchen if you should need it.
The gym in the building is down the hallway, equipped with weights and machines (row, elliptical, etc.).
This is an elevator building, and it works reliably. We are situated on the 7th floor. The light in the room is gorgeous, and if it gets too warm— the windows are screened in for air without unwanted bugs and of course, the room has an HVAC unit for you to use as you wish.
There are plants in the room as you will see in the pictures to help the air stay purified throughout the home. But happy to move them out of that space if you don’t want them there!
I am looking for a roommate that is neat and conscientious about their living space. This is not a studio, so influencers or DJs would probably not be the best fit here. In the interest of keeping the space clean, pets are also not welcome to room in the home.
Overall I’ve fallen in love with my location & space, and am ready to share!
I’m extremely open to providing anything home-related you may need during your sublet within reason. I speak French and English and am extremely open to having someone international stay, as many of my friends in the city come from cities abroad.
If you’re interested in hearing more or any questions— feel free to ask! Happy to FT tour, or even do in-person tours after discussing the best times.
Thanks for reading and hoping to meet my new roomie soon! 🫶🏽😊
My name is Amélia, and I’m 27. I work as an executive assistant in Manhattan and have been in the city for 5 years. Living in this building for 3 years, I recently switched from a 1br to a 2br2bath. I realized this space goes incredibly underutilized as I’m away very often for travel, work, or events!
After spending three months working on making the space feel like a home, I’m finally ready to share it with the world!
I am looking for a roommate who is conscientious and clean— as I am someone who has a deep need for a clean space in a city so dirty. Shoes are left at the door (I mean who doesn’t do this is NYC, right?)— and vacuuming whenever there’s a mess! I’m not obsessive, but I do require someone who is willing to maintain a clean house hold. Dishes in the sink for 5 days? Not going to work. I’m looking for a roommate that is not going to use the space as a party home, or DJ booth. I’m particularly reserved when it comes to my living space, as it’s a haven for me in a city so big and crazy! 😅
Please no pets. Please be aware that my space is also not child-proofed.
I am energetic and often looking to leave the city to travel or explore! I love rock climbing, hiking, soccer, hatha yoga & general fitness.
If you’re international, I love it! I grew up going to France for half the year & summers, and have a special place in my heart for those coming from across the world (especially coming from two immigrant parents!).
I use she/her pronouns and am open to living with all ethnicities/backgrounds, ALL PEOPLE. 🙏🏽💕
Thanks for reading and feel free to reach out if you think you’d be a good fit! 🥰
Current Master tenant
On the 1st of each month, I’d require monthly rent to be paid. With the initial agreement of 2 months, I’d require a $1500-$2000 deposit to hold the room and protect myself a bit as well, since NY can be crazy😅.
If you can provide proof of income / pay, then the deposit is $1500. If you cannot, I would require a deposit of $2000.
This cash deposit (whichever is the most applicable to you) + 1st month rent would be required prior to move in.
After move out & inspection of the room, mattress, etc.— the deposit would be paid back to you in cash (I will keep this deposit in my bank safe, and hand it back fully you should leave the space as you moved into it!).
The rent price listed includes wifi, and electric.
NYC is a weird, unique place with people from all sorts of backgrounds and stories. I’m flexible, and happy to discuss options with anyone (especially if you’re international!).
Money aside, respect and kindness is nonnegotiable and I look forward to finding someone who is a great fit to live with me. ❤️
