We're renting out our fully furnished, stylishly decorated duplex while out of the country. The apartment, which is on the upper two floors of a two-family 1899 townhouse, is situated on a quiet, landmarked block in historic Bedford Stuyvesant, and features some original detail. To access it, you walk up one flight of stairs on the outside. On the parlor floor where you enter, you'll find the living room, kitchen and dining room with an adjacent office space, as well as a full shower/toilet. The upper floor features the principal bedroom and one smaller bedroom, as well as a full bathroom with washer/dryer. The kitchen is fully equipped with an induction stove, a dishwasher, and a microwave. All bedrooms have cable TV as well as the living room, and there is free WiFi throughout the apartment. There is also air conditioning in all of the bedrooms, as well as the living and dining rooms. You can hear the birds in the morning at our home, which is close to a park which features a tennis court, playground and a basketball court.
The building is conveniently located between 2 subway stops (Utica Avenue and Kingston Throop), 5-7 minutes away. Lower Manhattan can be reached in 20 minutes on the A express train. There is a supermarket and a deli 2 minutes away and it is a short walk to a pharmacy. Cafés and restaurants are also in walking distance.
My husband is an artist and I am a humanitarian worker and documentary filmmaker. We are the owners of the townhouse and the duplex is our home where we live with our daughter. We are looking for responsible tenants who will make an effort to keep good neighborly relations i.e., no noise after 10pm, or parties with loud music. We consider dogs on a case by case basis, but my wife has a severe cat allergy, so unfortunately no felines allowed in any part of the house.
