This sunny bedroom, 9 feet x 12 feet is artistically furnished with a single bed, Ikea storage unit, an antique desk, white metal shelves and a closet. The bedroom faces the street and has two windows. It is on the opposite side of the apartment from my bedroom. The bedroom has a wonderful view of Green-Wood Cemetery. I updated the bathroom last year with new fixtures and designer tiles. There are laundry machines in the building.
I am looking to rent to a quiet, respectful female roommate, who primarily works or studies outside of the apartment during the daytime. A graduate student is fine too. The neighborhood is wonderful -- Hamilton's on Fort Hamilton Parkway is my favorite place to relax and have a bite to eat/drink. There is a Foodtown one block away and smaller shops on Church Avenue which is a short walk. The overall apartment is on the 6th floor. I have lived in this elevator building for eight years and it's full of wonderful long-term tenants. Prospect Park is five minutes away and Greenwood Cemetery is also a wonderful place to explore. The F & G train is 5 minutes from the building.
FYI - There are three steps down and three steps up in the lobby to cross to the elevator.
I am a filmmaker/photographer/educator. I teach film production on campus and also work from home. I love creative and socially engaged people. I am a mature, friendly, humorous, committed artist and human being. Compassion, self-awareness, cleanliness, and respectfulness are very important qualities for me in a roommate-- someone who is focused, responsible and enjoys life. I enjoy my privacy, but also enjoy being social.
