About the apartment: Our apartment is on the 2nd floor of a nice building with a modern loft feeling, hardwood floors, tall ceiling, a skylight, a balcony and open kitchen. Dishwasher, private washer/dryer, and space for parking your bike is available. Our home is on the second floor of a walk up. Unfortunately there is no elevator. The apartment is also not child-proof. If you have specific questions with regards to accessibility, we can discuss to make sure all your needs are met to the extent possible.

Number of guests: We have 3 bedrooms (2 of which we will make available), 3 bathrooms, and an office space. This would be an ideal scenario for 2 friends, each taking a room, or two couples. Each bed sleeps 2.

Discounted price for catsitting: It comes with a cat :) The amount proposed for the duration is at a discounted rate given that you will be requested to cat sit, however our cat has a litter robot and water fountain and eats dry food, so hopefully there will not be a lot of work for you except for enjoying the company of her fluffy presence and occasional playing. Our cat, Banoo, is a white with silver tabby siberian cat, very well behaved and social and loves to play in amazon boxes! She would need someone to keep an eye on her water and make sure it is changed every day, ensure litter robot is not stuck/ drawer exposed, and someone that plays with her once or twice a day. She is very social but also calm. She is super fluffy and beautiful!

Pet policy: Although we love pets, our cat will stay home with you and it may be challenging for them to get a long, so no pets please.

Neighbors: Our neighbros are super nice and friendly and except the occasional weekend music, it’s a calm and peaceful building.
Greenpoint: The neighborhood is walkable.
5 mins walk to G train, 8 mins to McCarren park / williamsburg and just steps away from some of Greenpoint favorite cafés, bars and restaurants.

House rules / requests: We would appreciate if our guest waters our plants once or twice during the week. We recycle, but NO composting please.No smoking / vaping inside please. You can do so in the balcony.

About This Lister

We are a couple in our late 30s. I’m in the humanitarian-development sector and my husband is a lawyer turned pest control technician. We have a Siberian cat and a beautiful home that we would like to share with you while we will be travelling. The space is a rental but we have a great relationship with the owner and permission to sublet on short stays especailly for when we need catsitters.
