We are seeking a roommate to join our lease starting anytime between March 15 and April 1st, with possibility of renewal when the lease ends on September 1st, 2025. Our home is a very spacious duplex on the second and third floor of a house in northeast Bed-Stuy. We have a large living room and kitchen, a backyard, an art studio, and an in-unit washer/dryer (!). The apartment is a 6-bedroom but we are 5 roommates total—the 6th bedroom is our shared studio.
Our house is a 7 minute walk from the J/M trains and close to multiple bus lines. Our neighborhood is quiet and residential, but we live within easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants, and bars in Bed-Stuy and Bushwick, and we’re a 15 minute walk from Herbert Von King park! We love living here ♥
The room available for rent is on the second floor, has a large closet, faces the backyard, and gets beautiful direct sunlight throughout the day (especially in the mornings)! The studio area accompanying this room is a large dedicated desk / workspace, included in the pictures posted. Our current roommate is moving away to attend to family matters, but available to chat about any questions about her time here. She’s also open to selling the bedroom furniture pictured, and we can put you in touch to discuss further.
A bit about us: two of us are cousins, all of us are friends, and three of us have been roommates for multiple years. We’re all in our mid-twenties and are seeking a roommate in their mid-20s or 30s. We have a preference for living with other queer folks, though this isn’t a requirement. We are also a house of artists working in a variety of disciplines (music, sculpture, film, sound design, quilting, writing!), and we’d love to live with other creative people. We all have busy schedules, but we also enjoy and care about living in community—we’re looking for someone who feels the same.
