- Across the street from Tompkins Square Park (which has benches, a baseball diamond, a handball court, an outdoor amphitheater, playground).
- Close also to the shops and restaurants on Bedford, Nostrand, Fulton, Myrtle, Lafayette, DeKalb, etc.
- Two stops on the train away from the clubs/bars/restaurants in Fort Greene.
Furniture in the room:
- a queen-sized bed (subletter would have to provide their bedding
- an oak dresser with deep drawers
- an antique vanity with a mirror and two clothing drawers
- a closet
- a large desk w/ an office chair, that kind of sections off the right side of the room, helpful for remote work.
- the bookcase in the room’s center will remain full
- most of the art, as well as some storage, will stay, but at a minimum.
Other apartment features:
- red oak hardwood floor
- big beautiful windows
- stainless steel appliances
- maple kitchen cabinets.
- there's a pay-by-load washer and dryer in the basement, and access to a private backyard from the apartment floor.
My roommate is a visual artist and associate professor (female) who works from home for the most part, and loves to cook.
I'm a freelance producer, filmmaker, will be out of town focusing on a project for 2 months.
I'm a current tenant, subletting my room.
Rent cost includes: ( happy to discuss some flexibility on move in and move out dates)

-Utilities (gas, heat, and electric) (If subletter decides to use the in-room AC unit, there will be an extra cost to cover the monthly bill)
-Shared household goods subscriptions with the other tenant in the other room (roommate) (toilet paper, paper towels, dish and hand soap, etc).
-Monthly deep cleaning of the kitchen and bathroom
Showings come with a brief roommate interview.
There will be a brief subletter's agreement. Two references, either housing or professional, are required. First month's rent is due before move-in, and the second month is due June 1st, and the last half month July 15th. (2.5 months in total)
