We are looking for very tidy, very conscientious renters for some or all of the time this summer starting July 1 until August 31. We may be open to a shorter term stay of at least 2 weeks. Price per month is $5500.
We have a sunny two bedroom 1.5 bathroom duplex with a well-planted yard, washer/dryer, dishwasher, piano, and peloton. The apartment is about 1200 sq feet over the top two floors of a three story house. The downstairs neighbor is quiet. The lower floor of the apartment has living room and piano alcove in the front, half bathroom in the middle and kitchen/dining room in the back with a door to the yard. The kitchen was recently renovated with marble countertop, new fridge and dishwasher. There is a skylight above the stairs to the top floor. On the upper floor, there is a full sized washer/dryer, full bathroom in the middle, with a twin bunk bed in the front and primary bedroom (king-sized bed) in the back with a with Peloton bike. Please note, the photo of the living with the keyboard: there is now an upright piano instead. Three big windows in each bedroom with leafy tree views. Bedroom windows have blackout/translucent convertible shades. The lush garden has currants, blueberries, raspberries, fruiting cherry tree, and flowers. The apartment is quiet and extremely clean. No shoes in the apartment. No pets.
We have rented on vacation rental sites and I can send you reviews that people have left. The apartment is on the border of Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy, around the corner from Fan Fan Doughnuts. The neighborhood is very walkable with grocery store around the corner, good restaurants and coffee in every direction. Our block is quiet and parking is relatively easy. Its a 20 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride to Fort Greene Park, where there is a great farmer's market on Saturdays.
We are looking for renters who are also extremely clean, conscientious, reliable, and easy to communicate with. If you are interested, please tell me about yourself and any other occupants, state the dates you are interested in, and what brings you to subletting in Brooklyn. Longer term renters will be required to have cleaner every other week.
I am an academic. My partner works in the wine industry. We have two kids. We own our apartment. We love natural wine, being active, the arts, games and puzzles. We keep our apartment immaculately clean because of my dust allergy.
