This is a fantastic 3-bedroom apartment, located just 5 blocks north of Prospect Park. The building is a 4 story, with friendly neighbors and two bodegas and a small queer coffee shop on the block. This raised first floor apartment comes with a PRIVATE beautiful backyard that I have furnished with a picnic table, BBQ, flower beds, and candle lanterns. The living room and kitchen are both mostly furnished (including my roommate’s departure with her things), including couch, side table, lights, shelves, kitchen table, microwave, etc. YOU will receive 2 of the three bedrooms. One bedroom can be used as an actual bedroom and the other bedroom, an office, storage space, yoga room (whatever you’d like!). You would probably pick your bedroom to be the room next to the living room as it’s slightly bigger (fits a queen bed). If that’s the case, then our bedrooms would be at opposite ends of the apartment from one another, allowing some privacy. Laundry and a private storage room for us is in the basement. Most importantly, the apartment comes with my sweet 8-year-old rescue pup, Lilah.

Hi! My name is Sam (she/her) and I’m a 34-year-old biologist living in Brooklyn. I finished my PhD two years ago and have since lived here. I enjoy spending time with a mix of long-term friends and newer city friends, my family in North Jersey, and going on dates.
I love tennis, running with Lilah, crafting, god awful reality shows, wine, cooking, and baking. My weekends are normally pretty chill, a night or day time out with friends or on dates, mixed with staying home or locally to hang with Lilah. Nearly every Saturday morning Lilah and I head to the farmer’s market for veggies. I really like to host dinner parties or outdoor get togethers, but that only happens once every few months. I also spend a lot of time working on side projects- getting my PhD chapters published, personal writing, etc.

I absolutely love this space- I’ve been here the past two years with my good friend, Katie, who is heading out to the burbs with her bf. I am looking to share the space with someone who is friendly, reasonably clean, and into dogs. Ideally we’d vibe and have some shared interests- TV?? wine?? crafting??. I believe the best rooming situations occur when expectations are set at the beginning (cleaning routine, guests, work routines, etc.) with open communication along the way.
