Unthinkable Comedy is an inclusive comedy community – based in Westchester, NY – built for all kids and teens to indulge in their imaginations, expand their listening skills, build confidence, and simply be themselves through the art of improv and storytelling. At Unthinkable comedy, the curriculum leverages playful games, collaborative exercises and imagination stretching activities to build a foundational understanding of both short and long form improv comedy. Our classes aim to be safe spaces that empower every kid to, well, do the unthinkable.
Unthinkable was founded by Gary Goldsmith and Sarah Sommers, two NY-based comedians, improvisers and professional adult humans who also happen to be married with two kids, living in Westchester, NY. After spending over a decade performing, producing and training at New York improv institutions such as Upright Citizen’s Brigade, The People’s Improv Theater (The PIT) and more, while also growing our careers in learning & development, program management and strategic partnerships, they founded Unthinkable Comedy with a vision of creating an accessible and inclusive improv comedy program for kids.
