The house has a separate dining room, living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, and two full baths. There is a working wood-burning fireplace, and a three season enclosed front porch. The kitchen is spacious and features a seven-burner, two oven Lofra stove and is equipped for any manner of gourmet cooking. There is a pleasant back patio with a small vegetable garden and a charcoal grill, but the backyard is otherwise asphalt. There's a washer and dryer in the basement.

There is a dedicated driveway, and the house is located near the major arteries that lead out of town to upstate New York and to New Jersey. Inwood Hill Park is within easy walking distance, and Van Cortland Park is a little further. It is a five minute walk to the MetroNorth trains and a seven minute walk to the 1 train that runs down the west side of Manhattan. There are also express buses into Manhattan nearby.

I work in the field of art, culture and preservation. After nearly a 20 year career in museums in the United States, I'm now working abroad for a contemporary art gallery in the Middle East. My contract is indefinite and I'd like to find a tenant who will love and care for my beautiful Bronx home as much as I do. It is a house full of books and art.

A handyman is available to show the house and be a point person on any issues that may arise, but I would prefer someone with some experience with home ownership.
