Hi Listings Project subscribers!
I'm a product design lead who brings a wealth of experience in UX design, research, design strategy, and product management primarily for Web and mobile applications. I've worked with a diverse group of clients, from enterprise to startups, non-profits, and governments, including the City of New York, Delta, the VA, and more.
Here's how I can help:
- Research: understand who people are and how to help them, best hypotheses and assumptions to validate, conduct research in various methods, and create actionable recommendations.
- Service design: taking a larger view of a product and the systems, products, and services around it to identify pain points and opportunities.
- UX design: wireframes and other deliverables for new and existing products.
- Product management: identifying what to build and why/what value looks and the how, including product backlog management, stories, verifying/QA, when to research, and scaling out a product from 0-1.
- Additional: DesignOps, ResearchOps, hiring, mentorship, proposals, managing vendors and teams
I'm happy to talk through what you may need so we can bring it to life. I also have experience in project management, so keeping things organized and tracked is second nature to me. I'm happy to work remotely, in-person, and hybrid, primarily in NYC.
What inspires and motivates me? I get to listen to people and design solutions for them - and design is all I've ever wanted to do. I'm inspired by so much, including community-driven design, innovation, femtech, climate tech, installation art, music, and lighting design. I'd love to bring my love of making products come to life to the Listings Project community.
I fell in love with the Web as a medium to connect people and design as a way to create better products that create joy. My undergraduate in Ethics, Society, and Law, and Humanities and Psychoanalytic Thought from the University of Toronto gave me a solid foundation of critical thinking and creativity; two certificates in Web and Information Design and an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons School of Design at the New School refined my creative skills. My career has provided the opportunity to help communities and clients; I also have a trauma-informed approach to ensure the products we build respect lived experiences and help people thrive.
