This is a very comfortable and well situated apartment on Sixth Avenue located on the parlor and basement floors. There are steps up to the main door and a small stairs to the basement level. On the parlor floor the living room dining room and kitchen flow together. The kitchen is modern with a dishwasher, There is a half bath in the hall leading to the rear main bedroom which has an ensuite full bathroom. There is a room in the rear ( library), flowing from the hall leading to a back outdoor deck and garden. The downstairs bedroom has a twin bed and a full bathroom just next to it. There is an office-like space as well downstairs which is quite filled, but has a desk area with an Aeron office chair. Behind another doors an unfinished workspace where the washer and dryer is located, and an additional staircase leading up to the foyer.
The wifi is Fios and strong. There is a medium sized TV with connections to Netflix, Prime, Max, and Apple TV, as well as a separate stereo. The main floor is light filled all day. Floors are hardwood and the ensuite bathroom tiled with travertine. There is one closet and chest of drawers free for each bedroom.
Sixth Avenue is quiet at night and not noisy during the day, as there are few commercial establishments on the avenue. The kitchen is well equipped. The building is a condominium of four units with friendly neighbors.
The apartment is a block away from the many commercial establishments of both Fifth and Seventh avenues. It’s an 8 minute walk to either the F, G train or the R train. It is less than 15 minutes from Prospect Park. This apartment is geographically in the heart off this friendly and beautiful neighborhood.
I live here and developed the building, when I purchased it, into a 4 unit condominium. I worked as a photojournalist for 30 years and for the past 11 years have been working as a tour guide in NYC, conducting walking tours in various neighborhoods. I will be personally showing youthe space and , of course, can answer any questions about it. I wlll be the contact person but the building has a managing agent who can always be contacted , if need be.
