Two Jan sublets with option for lease takeover in February in a beautiful 3-bed East Williamsburg loft apartment
2/3 of us are moving out on January 1st, and we're looking for folks who are interested in a 1-month sublet and/or a lease takeover in February.
I've been here for two years and unfortunately have to leave for work. Things I will miss about this home:
- Absolutely outrageous natural light
- Dishwasher, central air & heating, all new appliances
- Dead quiet 6th floor with elevator and one flight of stairs to a rooftop with views of the complete Manhattan skyline
- Laundry in building & lots of street parking
- We split gigabit WiFi with our neighbor Will for $45 for us three/$15 each
**Bedrooms and living room will be unfurnished**
Room #1 ($2050 – my old room) – large Juliette balcony, two door closet, enough space for a queen bed, vanity, and a desk
Room #2 ($1850 – my current room) - Loft bedroom upstairs with private toilet/water closet, roof access out the window, second largest. I share the closet downstairs, but can fit a queen bed, desk, bookshelf/vanity, and planter, Elfa drawers and two clothing racks easily.

Savannah would be the third roommate, one of my close friends and the most kindhearted person ever. She loves to keep the place neat and tidy, but in her own way so she does basically all the common area cleaning herself (obviously to a degree with respectful roommates).
She's a social 29 year old Teach for America teacher in the Bronx, so she gets up early and comes home between 3-6pm. She's a heavy sleeper, so no need to be totally silent after she goes to bed early, but no ragers during the week because her room is right off the living room
She's the current tenant
1) For the sublet, you'd pay the month's rent directly to me and the other roommate, Chloé
2) If you want to take over the lease (until October 31st for sure, possibly until Jan 31st):
Total rent for the apartment is $5650, and I've managed to negotiate lowering rental increases each year (including taking a $150 proposed increase down to $0 this year).
You'll need to apply to be on the lease (40x rent, good credit, normal st.uff) and provide a security deposit + Feb rent when approved
Landlord approval required, Sav is a cat person
