Offering $1,067 room in apartment, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, in Bed Stuy. Move in April 1.

I’m seeking someone to sublet my room in this 3br/2ba duplex in Bed Stuy right off the Bedford-Nostrand G train stop. Move in date is ideally April 1, but may have some flexibility here. The lease renews in August, and you would be able to resign. Heat and hot water are included. Electric is usually around $40 per person each month. Internet is usually around $30 per person each month.

The apartment: Bedroom is in a 3 bedroom apartment that is one of two units in the building. The landlords and their children live on the bottom two floors of the building, while we have the apartment that occupies the top two floors. The bedroom available is on the top floor of the apartment. It is spacious and measures 10.5 x 10.5 ft. I have plenty of room for a full bed, dresser, desk, bookcase, and chair with room to spare. There is a spacious closet in the bedroom. You would be sharing a bathroom with one other roommate. The room only has a skylight, which you are able to open to get fresh air. While you can’t cool with a window unit, you can use a fan or portable AC unit. There is also a spare room in the apartment that you can install a window AC unit in case you would like a cooler space to sleep during the summer. The apartment has an in-unit washer and dryer. It also has a dishwasher.

Roommates are Todd (40s he/him) and Nora (40s she/her). Todd works in-person full time Monday-Friday, and is usually out of the apartment from 6am-3pm during weekdays. Nora also works in-person during the afternoons, sometimes evenings, and weekends. Current roommates are looking for someone who is laid back, calm, and relaxed. We like to relax and decompress in our home during the evenings and weekends so we’re looking for someone who doesn’t bring the party home. We are also looking for someone who is tidy and cleans up after themselves – we especially like to keep the kitchen usable and never leave dishes in the sink – but we’re not super rigid about it. Someone who is LGBTQ+ friendly is a must, and we would prefer someone in the 30-50 age range.

Location/Transportation: Apartment is on Lafayette Avenue right off the Bedford-Nostrand G station (200 ft). Buses close by are the B44 (350 ft), B44-SBS (600 ft), and B38 (350 ft). There are a lot of coffee shops, delis, and restaurants all in the surrounding blocks. Hardware store is .3 miles away, and grocery store is .2 miles away.

Accessibility: Bedroom is up 4 flights of stairs. There is no elevator in the building.
