*Looking for a female roommate*
*Apartment / Room:
The apartment is on the 2nd floor in an old brownstone. Your room has a full south-facing window, providing plenty of sunlight and a peaceful atmosphere.
There is a sizable storage place (58 x 22 inches) and a built-in closet in the room where you can keep your suitcases, AC unit, and winter coats, and you will still have plenty of space left.
There is twin twin-sized mattress, height-adjustable desk, and chair, available for purchase at a discounted price if you need it.
The central heat works well in the winter. The super lives in the building and is always available if any of the appliances are broken.
The kitchen is big by NY standards. The landlord installed a new stove a few years ago and there are 2 big windows next to the stove so it's easy to ventilate. I like to cook at home, and you can also use many kitchen appliances (air fryer, reverse osmosis water filter, espresso maker, food processor, Nutri-bullet, pressure cooker, etc.).
*Neighborhood:
I have been living in this neighborhood for over 7 years now and I really like it because it's so convenient to live here. The apartment itself is a 2-minute walk from the Franklin Av 2/3/4/5 trains. The neighborhood has a high walkability score. There are tons of grocery stores nearby, 24/7 laundry 2 mins on foot, so many cafe's, the closest UPS drop-off spots and a postal service center 5min on foot, and even two yoga studio (Arise yoga and Shambhala) within 10 min walking distance.
The Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden is a single subway stop away. Brooklyn Library and Prospect Park are 2 subway stops away. There is also a Citibike stand just outside the Franklin Av subway station.
*About you:
I am looking for a female roommate in their 30s, preferably working full-time onsite, and can pay rent on time. Cleanliness is *VERY* important to me so I expect my roommate to participate in keeping the communal areas (kitchen, bathroom, corridor) clean, especially the kitchen so we don't have to deal with bugs. There isn't a set chore list or timetable but you must be proactive in cleaning up after yourself, not leaving dirty dishes in the sink overnight, volunteering to take out the trash if it's full, etc. In short, please be a nice person who is willing to do their share of the work to keep the house clean.
Another key quality I'm looking for is someone who values quietness. While having friends or significant others over occasionally is welcome, I’d really like the apartment to be a peaceful place to unwind and recharge after work and over the weekends.
I am a motion graphics designer, working both from home and onsite, depending on the project. I normally work from 10 am to 7 pm and stay in my room or go out to meet friends after work. I am a clean, friendly, and communicative person who enjoys spending time alone working on creative projects, taking care of plants, and cooking.
