1 month house + pup sit // Beacon, NY
House Sitting
Our family of four intends to travel during these dates and are looking for someone(s) to take care of our home and our two pups while we are away. The house has a vegetable garden, an outdoor fire pit, firewood, two outdoor grills (gas and coal), a fully fenced in yard, bikes to ride into town with and is well situated only 1 block away from the Fishkill creek (which lends itself to beautiful early morning and late evening strolls). One can reach main street on foot in under 15 minutes and under 5 on bike.
About This Lister
Our family has been residing in our Beacon home since 2017. I am a college professor here in the Hudson Valley and my partner is a social worker. Our kids are awesome and center our work here on this planet. We love this town and our neighborhood for so many great reasons and will happily share our local tips (and our vegetable garden) if you end up house + pup sitting for us!
Lister's Relationship to the Space
We are the owners and are friendly with our neighbors, many of whom share their tools and resources and are actively discussing and building alternative, more sustainable living systems that center mutual aid and kindess. There is a small public library (birdhouse model) on our block. Canoe and kayak access too.
Pets Policy
We have two pups that you will be caring for but they are very friendly with other pups. We can do a meet and greet to make sure this type of arrangement will work.
