Afterschool Babysitter

I am seeking a kind, dedicated, and energetic babysitter for my 10 year old autistic son. This role will foster a safe and nurturing environment, promote social interaction, and encourage personal development. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others. Hours would typically be 3pm - 7pm 3-4 days per week with opportunity for additional hours.

Responsibilities:
-Receive child off of the bus at 3:30 p.m.
-Go through afternoon at home routine (shoes off, hang up jacket, go to bathroom, etc.)
-Give child afterschool snack and/or early dinner
-Engage with child in games or chores for approximately 30-45 minutes until therapist arrives
-Assist, where applicable, with personal care tasks as necessary, ensuring dignity and respect.

Qualifications:
-Prior experience working with individuals on the spectrum is helpful, but not necessary.
-Comfortable with physical activities and light housework.
-First aid certification is desirable to ensure safety during activities.
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children and families.
-Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life special needs children.
-Online training and onboarding process is required.
