Full-Time Temporary position, 6 weeks in summer, on Art Omi campus, plus 2-3 weeks part-time remote work in winter. Summer weeks are Wednesday, June 11 to Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 40 hours a week.
Position Description
This position supports the artists residency program behind the scenes, running errands, helping with logistics, assisting the Program Director to create a positive, productive and welcoming environment for 25 artists from around the world.
This is a great opportunity to learn about running a successful art residency program.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Prepare studio spaces for artists arrival
- Check equipment inventory and prepare for use
- Set up studio barn office
- Coordinate residents pick up
- Assist Program Director with daily tasks
- Coordinate weekly errands
- Help finding local resources for artists projects
- Facilitate Visitors arrival and their presentations and studio visits
Qualifications
- Must be a people person and comfortable with a very diverse, international group
- Must have their own car and accommodations
- Must be able to drive 9 person passenger van
- Knowledge of the local area is a plus
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize
- Must be able to work in a team
- Must have working knowledge of macOS and Google Suite

Work Environment
What follows is a general description of expectations for the work environment. We are open to making modifications to support people of all abilities whenever feasible.
This is a fast paced environment, both indoors and outdoors, encompassing some office operations and equipment, and public events. The candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week including some weekends evenings onsite. This position includes driving a 9-passenger van, some lifting up, and computer work.

- May include additional admin work from home in October-January
