We are looking for someone(s) to take over our lease for a 2 bedroom / 1 bath apartment in Brooklyn Heights, located on the beautiful tree-lined State Street. The lease ends in June 2025, and there is an option to renew.

The apartment has a number of gorgeous windows, most of which are south-facing so the unit gets a lot of light, and they look out into stunning, calm, tree-filled backyards. Although a street over from Atlantic Avenue, it is quiet. As a couple living here, we used the second bedroom as an extension of the living room; however, this unit is technically a 2 bedroom and would be ideal for two roommates and/or a couple. The current bedroom is big enough to fit a king-sized bed (or queen bed with furniture). The larger bedroom features French doors with frosted windows. There are two large walk-in closets and a decorative fireplace. The apartment has high ceilings and the kitchen features a new dishwasher.

The apartment is located on a fourth floor walk-up of a pre-war building. The building has shared laundry in the basement. Laundry is exceptionally cheap, $1 each for washing and drying. There is a private storage unit (7'3"L, 4'10"W, 6'H) in the basement too.

The location is fantastic and very accessible, with easy commutes to the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Incredible restaurants and shops are a quick walk away, including those on Court Street and Smith Street. 5 minute walk from Trader Joe's, 10 minute walk to the piers (especially piers 2-6) and the Promenade, 7 minute walk to Borough Hall (2/3/4/5) and Court Street (N/R/W), 12 minute walk to Jay St Metrotech (A/C/F) and Bergen St (F/G).

Landlord requires 40x monthly rent and a credit score over 700. Standard NYC apartment application including background check, credit check, landlord reference, etc. There is a $200 lease preparation fee required by the building.
