Hello! Our apartment is available from January 19, 2025 through July 13, 2025. We prefer to rent it for 2 or 3 months at a time minimum. The specified rent is in Euros, not dollars (LP website automatically puts the dollar sign).
Good communication is the way to our hearts. When you contact us, please introduce yourself and be clear about your preferred dates!
We split our time between Chicago and Paris. We've used the Listings Project since 2021, so we have many references if needed.
The apartment is located in Les Lilas, next to the 19th arrondissement. The space:
¤ On the top floor (5th without elevator) of a typical Parisian building, the apartment is bright all day and offers a view in all directions (see photos). It is furnished in a simple, cozy, DIY style.
¤ Our windows have sweeping, uninterrupted views: beautiful sights, plus privacy.
¤ Washing machine
¤ Full kitchen with a stove, pots, pans, oven and microwave
¤ Fold-out couch that sleeps two (in addition to the double bed in the room, of course!)
¤ Sheets and towels available
¤ Lots of cool books 😉
Utilities are included in the rent, for your peace of mind: Fiber high-speed internet, gas, electricity, water. In winter months, we will charge for heat only if your consumption goes beyond a threshold that we've set based on reasonable use from previous years.
¤ Bright and quiet, entirely furnished flat (39m²) in a typical Parisian building, south and north exposure
¤ Walk to 7 bakeries, all kinds of shops (including one grocery store open 24/7), bars and restaurants, cinema, theater
¤ The Mairie des Lilas metro stop (Line 11) is just a walk through the park (6 min), then ride 14 min to Paris center (Châtelet). City bikes (Velib) on all sides, streetcars, buses.
We're a French-American couple: Élise (she/her) and Jeremy (he/him/whatever you prefer). Élise owns the apartment.
During the rental period, we will be out of the country but we do have someone nearby who can come assist in case of emergency. We are the primary contacts.
Élise translates (English --> French) and edits books.
Jeremy translates too (French --> English). Oh, and he delivers vehicles far and wide.
Among our interests: reading, woodworking, standup comedy, simple cooking, sitting in parks, travel near and far.
Owner
¤ We'll schedule a video call to see if we're a good fit.
¤ It would be great to talk to a couple of references.
¤ We'll all sign a lease.
¤ You will take out an insurance plan for the dates of your stay ($15/mo.+/-, through an easy-to-use website; we'll help!).
¤ If, on second thought, it's not a good fit, please be courteous and let us know rather than falling off the face of the earth;) Thank you!
