Caregiver for 27 year old woman with ASD and Bipolar Disorder

Job Responsibilities:
Healthy meal and snack preparation, including shopping for food and cleaning up kitchen
Doing laundry and changing client’s bed sheets
Light housekeeping
Cleaning client’s room and bathroom
Running errands in the neighborhood (going to the pharmacy, etc.)
Bathing and shampooing client
Giving daily vitamin and medicine if needed provided by parents
Accompanying client and parents to occasional doctors visits if needed
Supporting client in cultivating interests such as listening to music and cooking/ meal planning
Taking client on daily walks and running errands with her such as to the grocery store to try to engage her
Providing companionship to the adult client while parents are out of the house
The ideal candidate would be someone who has:
Prior work experience with adults with special needs
Strong communication skills
Ability to walk quickly if needed with client on walks
Ability to remain calm under pressure
