It is an Hispanic neighborhood with intergenerational tenants from a variety of backgrounds and professions, many focused on the arts or academics. Laundromat, one block away. The 191st St station, #1 train line, 3 blocks away. Can be noisy in warm weather.
The overall apartment decor is minimal, furnished in shared spaces with personal collection. Cleanliness, reasonable hours, and a respect for privacy is a must.
No overnight guests unless by prior arrangement, and sadly, no pets.
The building is undergoing repairs which pertain primarily to the entrance but do not affect the apartment itself. The end date is negotiable.
