Sweet two bedroom, two bath home in the charming Northern New Mexico town of Dixon. Walk to our community co-op grocery, library and excellent thrift store. Families and children have loved this home. Enjoy BLM hikes, Dixon's two wineries, and checking out the Embudo River. An easy, beautiful, 30-minute drive up the Rio Grande to Taos for "big city" culture. Skiing is close by -- Sipapu, where the locals go, is half an hour, plus less than a hour to the bigger places near Taos and Angel fire. Primary bedroom has a king-sized tempur-pedic, guest bedroom has a queen, and if you want room for more than four people, there are two sleepable sofas. Big, open kitchen and separate dining room. Enjoy our growing home library and vinyl record collection. We are traveling for the next couple of months and have prepared for guests. Come enjoy the quiet of one of the last True New Mexico small towns.

About This Lister

We are a university professor and a public transit consultant. We have loved Northern New Mexico for decades and even lived in the state previously. In 2020, we made the leap and chose Dixon for its quiet, small-town vibe. It's easy to get to Taos and Santa Fe, but we can still retreat to this quiet home.

Rental requirements

We'd prefer to rent for a week or more but willing to rent for a minimum of three nights if you're just passing through or want to try Dixon out for a bit. We have times available in late October, November, and December. We can discuss cancellation policy. We prefer to rent through one of the short-term rental platforms because the insurance will protect us both and they reduce the amount of paperwork.

Pets Policy

We welcome animals. Cats and dogs have both been very comfortable in our home. There isn't a fenced yard.
