This quiet, sunny one-bedroom apartment is situated in the historic district of Jersey City (within walking distance of the Grove Street Path station and ferries to Manhattan.) You can enjoy all that downtown Jersey City has to offer: great restaurants (including Pizza, Vegan, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Thai, Vietnamese, Sushi, Hawaiian, German, and Indian); and several ice cream and gelato shops.
If you like to cook, there's a great fish stand down the street and a fabulous cheese shop. There are lots of things to do in J.C.-- you can read a book at our local French pastry shop, hang at the beer garden, hear live music at bars and live music venues, go to the local arcade, shop at small boutiques and thrift stores. If you're into fitness, there are several gyms and yoga and dance studios.
Even though Jersey City has many of the trappings of a 'hip' neighborhood, it retains a small-town feel with lots of mom-and-pop stores, ethnic restaurants, a family-run ice cream parlor, an old Italian bakery, several shops that sell Middle-Eastern wares and sweets, and a lovely old library with a beautiful study room on the top floor. We have two farmers' markets close by and two parks within walking distance (including Liberty State Park, where you can walk along the boardwalk and take in the spectacular Manhattan skyline). The neighborhood also has Citibikes if you wish to venture out further. There is a Movieplex with enormous, comfy reclining chairs one Path train stop away at the Newport Mall.
But you may just want to hang out on the private outdoor terrace with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The terrace is on the top floor (4th floor walk up) of the building.
You will fall in love with this place!
