Spaces Design + Interiors, a small design firm located in downtown Old Greenwich specializing in high-end residential, is seeking a detail oriented and technically skilled design assistant.
The design assistant will be responsible for assisting designers on projects from the concept phase through install. This is a position where candidates will learn a lot and take on a considerable amount of responsibility. This is a great role for a current student or recent graduate of an interior design program. The role is Part Time and can be a combination of in office and remote.

Job Responsibilities
Assist with preparing client presentations and budgets, including design boards and sourcing
Assist with site measurements and inputting existing conditions into CAD
Create furniture plans and elevations in CAD
Maintain project budgets, tracking sheets, and schedules
Manage projects in Design Files software
Request quotes from vendors. Including plumbing, appliances, fabric, furniture, and materials.
Maintain and organize project material library and project folders
Set up trade accounts
Assist with project installations, errands, etc.
Coordinate shipping/delivering of packages
Job Requirements
1+ years’ experience working for an Interior Design Firm and/or an Interior Design degree.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite. Design Files is a plus.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive and self-sufficient. Must be willing to learn on their own and double check their own work prior to sharing with seniors.
Strong attention to detail. Must be able to think through every scenario.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal skills. Must be able to write clear and concise emails to clients.
Must be willing to take ownership of projects as their skill level grows.
Has a drivers license and is able to drive to and from site visits.
