We're looking to sublet our large one bedroom apartment located in Bushwick a couple blocks near Maria Hernandez Park. The apartment is an open space railroad floor plan (about 700 square feet) on the second floor of a prewar building; it has French doors that close in the bedroom, windows on both sides for crisp morning and evening light. Includes a spacious bathroom, kitchen, dining area, living area (records, books, tv), bedroom (two office space setups). The apartment is furnished for the living space of a couple but is more than suitable for a single person. There's also a dishwasher and a coin operated washing machine and dryer in the basement. It's located on a fairly quiet street of a great neighborhood, but the walls of the building are thin, especially the ceiling. Close to M (7min), L (10min), and J trains (12min).
The pictures attached are from a few years ago. Since then there's been some modest upgrades: plants, ergonomic chairs, larger monitors, mobile furniture.
One of us works in academia as a literature professor and the other works in the outdoors industry. We love this space; it's very comfortable, good for work and play, and are hoping to find folks who can enjoy and take care of it while we're gone.
