The apartment is a beautiful, modern 4th floor 4 bedroom with 2 full bathrooms, hardwood floors, in-unit laundry, and central air. An open floor plan, high ceilings and multiple windows make it feel really spacious. The kitchen has lots of storage and counter space and is great to cook in. I am the one who cooks the most in the house, so it rarely feels crowded.
The room has one east facing window and is in the back of the apartment so its pretty quiet and private even though we are on a busy street. It has a big closet with lots of overhead storage space. The two rooms in the back of the house share the back bathroom with a large soaking tub and shelving unit for storage.
You'll be sharing the apartment with 3 women, late 20s-early 30s. They are all currently working out of the house except for occasional WFH days. The apartment is a very calm and communal space. We try to be communicative about any issues and pro-active about shared chores and cleanliness. We all have days when dishes sit in the sink for 24hrs, but generally work to maintain a clean and tidy space. We are all friends and enjoy shared time in the kitchen or watching a movie, but also keep to ourselves a fair amount. We try to be good about giving a heads up when people are coming over and keep things pretty quiet and calm.


The neighborhood is great, we're close to Lewis and Tompkins ave spots (Saraghina, Peaches, Lunatico), Herbert Von King Park and easy train or bus rides to Prospect/Crown Heights, Bushwick/Williamsburg and Manhattan.
The room is available immediately, but would be looking for a January 1st move-in at the latest. If you'd like to move-in before January 1st, you could do so and prorate the days for December. The current lease ends January 31st, 2025, and the new lease would be for a year. You would pay first months and security. Utilities are not included and are around $100/month depending a little on the season. The landlord and super are very responsive and we have a great handyman who seems to be able to fix everything. Rent is paid through one person, so after the initial first payments, you will venmo and roommate each month.
