The house is gorgeous (I know everyone says this, but its quite accurate), as is the surrounding nature - grounds generous both in beauty and spirit, backed into protected forest. Pond, streams, garden, pickle-ball court, old pines, lilac and pear trees. It’s a quiet and special place with a calming quality.

The original farmhouse itself was exquisitely rebuilt into a more modern haven – deftly designed with top of the line appliances, super comfortable beds and communal spaces, fantastic light, chef’s kitchen, an office, huge den, hot tub, lovely deck. 5 br total (1 king, 4 queen), 3 bathrooms (2 tubs). First floor has a bedroom/bathroom – no stair navigation. Shokan is a few minutes from the reservoir (close to Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties, Rhinebeck, Phoenicia etc.)

We are ideally looking for a longer term subletter (1 year). If renting for one year, rent would be $6000 per month.

For shorter term rentals, the $6500 rate is per month, but please reach out for different date configurations within this time-period. Excess of 30 days will be pro-rated. We are also glad to negotiate price as well for a bit of trade in relevant stewardship work.

The space is also perfect for an artistic/meditation/yoga retreat as there is space to sleep up to 14 and an exceptionally large main room. If this is something you are searching for, please inquire.
