I am looking for a dynamic Hot Mat Pilates instructor who can work freelance and can do the following: Design a smart pilates class with the growth of the students in mind; Create a playlist that is fun, safe and energetic, and not vulgar; Teach and keep a routine for at least 3 weeks giving the students the opportunity to learn the sequence and proper form and prepare them for whats coming next; Build a community through active student interface and get to know the students. This is a freelance gig and there is no deadline to apply. All our Mat Pilates classes are 60-minutes. We require our teachers to be onsite to check-in the students at least 20 minutes before the start of a class, and to stay at least 10 minutes after a class to answer questions from students.
We are a small hot yoga studio with a vision of creating community through the consistent practice of hot yoga. We are supportive of our community and in turn, they are supportive of us. We are open 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, with a variety of classes on our schedule. During the week, our earliest class is at 7am and our latest class is at 815pm. On the weekends, we have classes from 830am till 430pm. I have owned the yoga studio for 3 years, since 2022, but I started working at this space in 2009 as a yoga studio cleaner. I furthered my practice and became a yoga teacher in 2012. I have taught at this same space since and have always considered it my HOME. As a Yoga instructor, you will be working directly with our students who come from different walks of life. Some are wealthier than others; some are popular, some are just regular blokes. At our studio, we are all the same: Each of our students are treated with kindness, discretion and respect at all times. We have 6 Mat pilates classes on our weekly schedule currently, with room to add more. I have 23 teachers in my roster, and I expect each one to work independently and treat the studio like their own home. We do have Studio Guidelines in place, to avoid chaos and to ensure safety and consistency.
