My name is Ellas, I’m a 37 year old musician/songwriter with a personal studio in East Williamsburg. I also work with super 8 film and dabble in the visual arts, but it’s all music centric.

I work on tugboats in the New York Harbor for a living with a two week on/two week off schedule and am completely gone away from home those two weeks on. I’m getting tired of paying so much for my own place that I only sleep at half the month, so am looking into renting a room preferably in North Brooklyn/South Queens on a month to month basis with the possibility of staying long term, but am flexible on all of that.

I’m going through an amicable separation with my wife and I got the cat. Ideally I will find a place that would not only allow him, but wouldn’t mind looking after him while I’m on the boat. I know that may be tricky, so I might have to re-home him. Trying to avoid doing that as we have a very special connection, but please don’t hesitate to reach out even if you don’t allow cats if you think I would be a good fit.

I clean up after myself, am civic minded and have a good natured social ethic.

I’m on a month to month basis at my current apartment in Ridgewood after completing the lease and just need to give my landlord 30 days notice before move out.
