I’m looking for someone to sublease my room from April 5th – July 31, 2025. The apartment is a 2bed/1bath apartment in Crown Heights! Cross-streets are: Rogers Ave & St. John’s Place. 7 min walk to the 2,3,4,5,S. If you know the area, then you’ll know it’s amazing. It’s a 7 min walk to Franklin Avenue, 15 minutes to Brooklyn Museum, and 25 minutes to Prospect Park. I’ve lived in Crown Heights for 2 years now and love it! I’m leaving because I found a studio I really love and am moving there next week!!
The apartment is renovated, has updated appliances, hardwood floors, and original brick walls. It’s up one flight of stairs. There’s a bathtub in the bathroom, a virtual doorman, a roof deck, and laundry and a bike room in the basement. No utilities are included so it’s usually around $150 per person in the summer. This is a pre-war building so the walls are a little thin but the neighbors are very friendly if you have an issue with noise.
The room is $1650, it’s unfurnished, and it’s 8 x 11 with a 3 x 6 closet (around 120 sq feet total). The room can fit a full size bed, a desk, bookshelf, a lamp, and a TV. The closet has a ton of space too – I fit my large dresser and all my hanging clothes in here! Also the room has a huge window for an AC unit - not the greatest view but still gets sunlight.

I'll be moving out around April 5th which is why I'd prefer someone who can move in around that time. If you need earlier than April 5th, I can see if I can move out earlier. I really like my roommate and want to find someone considerate to take over my room and finish out the lease (April 5th - July 31, 2025).

My roommate (she/her) is a woman in her 20s named Meadow who works at a major NYC hospital (9-5). She's very clean and considerate. We follow a 24 hour dish rule here (48 hours if you're busy) and we have a chore chart that we follow to clean the bathroom and kitchen. We're good roommates and are able to talk about conflicts, cleaning, pet peeves and other things.

Since this is a sublet, I'll do a credit check and ask about income (prefer 40x the rent but not required). My roommate would prefer someone in their mid 20s or older.
