Hi! My name is Samiira, and I’m looking to join an apartment or takeover a lease, starting ideally on May 1st. My budget is $1,650 max. I would also be open to a space of my own with a budget of $1,700 (I know it's nearly impossible with a low budget but I thought id throw it out there)
What I want in a space:
- Good natural sunlight
- Laundry in-building (or space to get a portable washer)
- No basement/first floor units
- Within 6ish minutes to Atlantic Terminal
I want a home that feels comfy and is aesthetically a vibe—a place we can be proud of, where we could have friends over and be proud of the space we’ve curated.
A bit about me: I’m 25 and have been living in Ridgewood for almost two years. I’ve loved it, but I’m ready to move closer to things, so I’m looking at Fort Greene and surrounding areas near Atlantic Terminal (i.e., Boerum Hill, Northern Park Slope, or Prospect Heights). Would also be open to Williamsburg (Bedford or Lorimer L train stops)
I’m clean and dependable. I work in corporate sustainability (WFH). Personality-wise, I’d say I’m somewhere between an introvert and an extrovert—I love going out for drinks or strolling around flea markets with friends and seeing live music, but I’m also a bit of a film bro. I love watching movies and using Letterboxd. Also love to spend a beautiful day alone, laying in a park, with a good book. I have no pets.
What I’m looking for in a roommate:
- Clean and Dependable
- A great communicator
- Has similar interests to me (would like to be friends)
- Doesn't bring the party home
- Okay with doing our own thing / no expectation to always talk/hang out
