I’m looking for a long term unfurnished private room.

I'm a very social person, but I also absolutely need my alone time. I don’t usually have friends over, but when I do, it’s for a nice little dinner party. I’d love to have friendly relationships with my roommates; like eating together, and watching tv. But I’m also cool with keeping to ourselves, it’s whatever we can all comfortably agree to.

I clean up after myself and prefer a clean space. I like to keep common living spaces clean. If you forget your laptop or sweater on the couch or if you have a late night bowl of cereal and just your bowl and spoon is in the sink, I’m not trippin’. I'm open to the idea of hiring a cleaning service/person, if it’s in everyone’s budget too. Communication is key!

I don’t drink anymore for personal reasons, but I am completely fine with people who drink. I’m 420-friendly although I don’t smoke. I will have an edible here or there. I’m POC and I’m LGBTQI+ friendly. I’m also vegan! And I’m absolutely comfortable with whatever my roommates’ dietary preferences are.

Hello, I’m Quanda (She/Her)!

I’m a native New Yorker, I was born and raised in Harlem. After 17, I’ve lived in many different neighborhoods since. I love my city! My friends would describe me as independent, creative, quirky, and friendly. In my free time, if I’m staying in, I like listening to podcasts, reading, and definitely cooking! If I’m going out, I love trying new restaurants, going to see shows, like Broadway and Stand-up, and I love a good karaoke night.

I’m also a CatMom to two furry babies, Sushi and Sundae. Sushi starts off as a shy baby. But his personality is overwhelmed with curiosity and cuddles. When he wants attention, he will be extremely vocal and chatty about it. He loves bouncing off walls while chasing a red dot laser. He’s also very food/treat motivated. Sundae starts off as a shy baby. And he stays that way. He is very skittish and always on alert. Although it takes him a bit longer than Sushi to warm up to people, he craves a nice long hair brushing. He’s very chill, but loves kicking around a swirly toy here and there. I usually prefer to keep them in my room, but if the house is open to it, then they can roam.

I’m definitely someone that works in many fields. I am/was a performing artist (it’s a complicated story😅). I run my own business working full time with pets. I’m a private chef and baker. And when I have extra time, I also do PA gig work.

I just returned back to school Fall 2024 at CUNY Brooklyn College, as a Communication in Media Arts & Africana Studies major.
