A little bit more about Cypress Hills:
This hidden gem of a neighborhood, has proven to be such a find! It has both the J/Z trains and Broadway Junction is just 2 stops away connecting to the A,C & L trains. The sprawling Highland Park is a 5-7 minute walk, it features picnic areas, playgrounds, courts for tennis, handball & basketball, fields for soccer & baseball, and a stunning circuit around a former reservoir. The Y.M.C.A. is across the park and houses a pool as well as tons of classes.

For those with cars: The charming Forest Park is a 10 minute drive and features short trails, a public golf course, carousel, band shell, picnic areas and more. Trader Joe's, Home Depot, Michael's and a host of other retailers are also 10-15 minutes away. The enormous Gateway Shopping Center featuring Target, Staples, BJs Price Club, Bed, Bath & Beyond (and a ton more) is less than 20 minutes away. Last but not least, the Rockaway beaches are only a 30-35 minute drive.
