Two rooms in 3br/1ba unit with view in Bushwick!

Rooms for Rent

$1,660/month

Location

Bushwick, Brooklyn

Available

November 1, 2024 - November 1, 2025

The apartment:

First room has huge west-facing windows facing Manhattan with some views of the skyline– you’ll get to watch the sky from your bed and there’ll be beautiful sunset light in your room every day!

Second room is on the second floor with super high ceilings and a little more floor space. It’s also right next to the balcony door.

Common spaces: the entire apartment has unfinished oak floors, custom-built shelves with plants. There's a private balcony with views of the Manhattan skyline, an in-building gym and laundry/bike storage/study rooms/lounge in the basement, furnished big (shared) rooftop and yard. There’s an elevator that runs through the building, though to get to the second bedroom and balcony you’d have to use the spiral staircase in the unit.

The neighborhood:

You'll be a 3min walk away from the Dekalb L, 7min from the Knickerbocker M. There’s a community darkroom downstairs and a grocery store and coffee shop around the block just a minute walk away.

Housemates:

Would love to live with other folks who want to invest in the space (put up posters! co-parent plants! bring a favorite coffee table!), like the idea of a cleaning schedule (chore charts and weekly cleans), and lean more "have a friend over for tea or dinner every now and then" than hosting pregames.

About This Lister

You'll be living with me: I'm gay/queer (he/him), work in civic tech, and spend most of my home time cooking/baking or scanning film/reading/watching anime.

I tend to cook a good amount (usually two meals a day) and like to have a friend over to share a meal/hang out in my room a couple to a few times a week. Not quite a neatfreak, definitely not a slob (hopefully)— I'm a fan of picking up as you go and having a set cleaning schedule so no one feels like they're doing all the work :)

Lister's Relationship to the Space

Rental requirements

The process itself is pretty straightforward! The building doesn't have any official checks, so just contact me with a quick intro and we can set up a time to see the apartment (my schedule is really flexible through the day/week). After that, you'd just need first months rent as a deposit with the building.

A note on rent: 1660/mo would be an even 3-way split, but one of the available rooms is somewhat larger than the other two. since this would be a fresh lease, i'd be open to a conversation about redistributing the rent share if that ends up feeling more fair to everyone!

Pets Policy

No pet policies from the building. I love cats and dogs and would be very open to living with either!
