Hi there!

The furnished front room of my apartment is available for monthly (up to 2 months, or more, depending - let's talk!) or a weekly basis up to three weeks. The furnished room is up one flight of steps that includes a twin size day bed, vanity/desk, dresser, clothing rack, mini-fridge, and a comfy af lounge chair. The morning light welcomes you. This room also has access to the fire escape if you enjoy outdoor hang spaces.

My preferance for a roommate is a woman and/or LGBTQIA+ identified person, though a serious inquiry from any person is welcome.

The apartment is railroad-ish, with the room available to rent in the front of the apartment that faces the avenue, *meaning* that there is a fair amount of street noise that can be heard on a daily basis - if you are not comfortable or used to street noise, this will not be the best room for you. My personal room is in the middle of the apartment, and the kitchen and bathroom is in the back of the apartment. The rooms are separated by french doors that have curtains for visual privacy, however there is not much sound privacy. The kitchen is rather stocked for your needs of most cooking adventures, and there are fresh bath towels stocked and ready to go.

While you do have your own entrance/door, you will regularly need to exit the room out of the apartment down the hall (short and sweet) to the other entrance of the apartment to access the kitchen and bathroom. Transparently, I do not gaurantee nor promise a pristine neutral space of the ktichen and bathroom. I am an ADHDer with a sporatic day and night schedule as a foster care case planner, and reguarly find myself rushing from one thing to the next, which means I can leave a pile of my things on the floor at the legs of the island or on the table, and don't always put my makeup away after I use it in the kitchen. I usually organize myself after the end of the next day and am intentional to reset my things in the common areas. The room availble truly is large and spacious and you can keep it however you'd like for the time that you stay (without damaging anything, please!)

The apartment is located at 135th Street and 7th Avenue/Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd. The closest subway stops are the 135th B/C and 2/3 train. The M2 bus is right outside the apartment. Local gocery stores are nearby, with a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods located at 125th. The nearest laundromat is located 1/2 way down the street at 135th. Mini-fridge is available for your immediate food/bev needs, and anything else can be used for the main fridge, which just isn't large enough for two full-time people. Dishes need to be hand washed. There is a YMCA down the street and a Planet Fitness at 125th.

Any other additional questions, please reach out!
Please feel free to share. I have references of past roommates for the space if you'd like to talk with with them.

Please email me for additional photos of the kitchen, bathroom and hallway, as I wanted to priotize the 10-photo limit with the room available. Preference to send them to you via text.

About This Lister

I'm a recent masters graduate from Teachers College. My major was Psychology in Education with the Spirituality Mind Body Institute (SMBI). In addition to my work in foster care/social work, I occasionally work in night-life on the weekdays and weeknights. I have a background in physical theater, acting, clown, dance, regularly go to yoga and have an additctive Polaroid photography hobby. I semi-regularly leave the city (or go to Brooklyn) on the weekends to visit family, friends, or for work, so there can be times where you have the space to yourself for a few days at a time.
